Re: No more so-cal hpi

Don't trip Mobilis I'm just bitching. I used to really like HPI when they were more like Tamiya and Kyosho. They had detailed kits you can assemble. Now they have nothing but idiot proof RTR's. lol.

Re: Build input/advice, chassis narrowed down. Not a hands holdr

MST suspensions not having enough adjustments? What is it missing then? Even caster is adjustable without the need for extra parts. The unique suspension design on the MST cars are one of the best things about them and part of the reason why they also have the best stock steering angle of any car. M...

Re: No more so-cal hpi

So basically HPI USA fucked themselves in the a** by trying to be another Traxxas so they had to downsize and it led to this.

Re: 4way receiver output question

Just hook up whatever is it you're trying to control to the receiver. Like if you had retractable headlights on an MR2 body, the servo you'd use to open and retract them would be plugged into channel #3 or #4. You can also use your exta channels to turn on your lightset or even switch between modes....

I believe the DJ top plate is a little longer than the R. But, the R will still work on an F chassis

Re: Hobby shops, drift tracks in the Alabang area?

Oh wow I gave up hope on people responding to this thread lol. The track by MOA you're talking about was called Boom na Boom I think. It's been demolished.

We've found some tracks but none are really close to Alabang. That said its good to know there's a drift community around here.

Have you looked into the MST battery tray I was telling you about? I think you can buy one off the shelf @ Allspeed.

Re: New to cs and need a chassis!

I meant to add to my post that the reason I say MST is that you're good to go out of the box. You're not going to dig into your spares or scour the parts hangers at the LHS trying to come up with some DIY mod for KPI or steering. You're not going to be on Yahoo.jp hoping to find rare Japanese parts ...

Re: New to cs and need a chassis!

Where it says CS pulley set in the image, it shows 1.54. 54% If eBay is your friend, MST are absolutely no problem to get. Find the Ebay seller Hobbybest. Every kit and every part is available. I've found a shop that has MST stuff on the shelf both in the US and in the Philippines. Tatman's last par...

Re: New to cs and need a chassis!

MST MS-01D RTR if you need electronics ($290 on ebay) MST MS-01D S if you have electronics (about $220) Both cars get you 54%cs, FOW, rear spool, FRP/CF upper decks, oil filled shocks, f/r cvds, full ball bearings, and something most other cars can't match... 60deg steering https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a...

Re: Ta03F CS

Are you looking into getting a newer chassis. LOL, it used to always offend me when people on this forum would try to talk me out of going all out in drifting my TA03. After going to track several times though I've come to appreciate the value of a modern car with multiple adjustments. Especially a ...

I really didn't have any problems with my Ta03F once it was up and running. Didn't have any fitment problems either. http://i499.photobucket.com/albums/rr352/chiefy707/20130113_160808.jpg I didn't use the crap GPM gearcase cover. Re: geared diffs instead of oneway

I always felt a one way makes it much easier for me to drift my line. i find myself fighting the car more and trying to force a drift with a geared diff.

But of course it always comes to driving style.

Hobby shops, drift tracks in the Alabang area?

Probably the wrong board area to be posting this but I'll be in the Philippines next week. Any hobby shops/ drift tracks in the Alabang area or at least close by? Thanks in advance!

A 3mm wide ring of heatshrink around the CVD over the holes is works great in the event that somehow your threadlocked grubscrew still comes loose. Hey it happens, to me at least :wtf:

MST XXX-D VIP

When I first saw this car my reaction was like, "That is one sexy a** car." Didn't want one though, I was just too much of a Tamiya fanboy. Who the hell is MST anyway right? Turns out they're as awesome as it gets. A company that seems to be 'for drifters by drifters'. So I bit the bullet ...

Awesome! I felt my car looked a whole lot better once I swapped out my shock towers on my VDF. Your car looks great! Now how about that bumper support ^_^ I didn't know Integy had 7mm hex hubs, i thought they only went up to 5mm. That's something I can really use on my TA03 since that car is way too...
