Re: Baja's RWD VDF V3

It takes super human reflex to steer like 1:1 without a gyro. Gyro is not there to make the car drive itself. It's there to smooth out the steering return like 1:1.

this chassis is going to be pretty sick for low budget, all plastic car. Dlike made some changes to the plastic material, and gear drive. don't sleep on it.

Re: need help with yokomo 2.0, belt to long for dib

Myabe you should find out if it's the right belt. Yokomo slips from time to time. I ordered a 1.8 spool from banzai, but despite the 1.8 packaging, i got a 2.0 spool. 2.0 and 1.8 spools have different color "teeth" on them. Mine was painted in grey like 1.8 spools, but it was only 20t. I s...

Re: when will we get a real chassis?

If they could have, they would have. Scaling down 1:1 geometry and design do not translate well in 1:10 scale. If you factor in scale speed, scale power to weight ratio, scale tire grip, it just won't work. RC drifting is simulated drifting. Even the 1:10 RWD does not fully capture the movements of ...

Re: Corner exit grip

Setup sounds like it should have plenty of rearend bite, but this chassis has alot of front to rear weight transfer going on, so try 1mm antidive and 2mm antisquat for a start. This stuff works womders. In most kits, rear suspension almost always dont have enough droop as the front ones, so use the ...

Re: ABC Hobby Lexus LS460 VIP Style

Black curtains look fine with black interior. Scale model builders build true to scale engine and undercariages that will usually be never be seen. Using out of scale tubes for roll cages or bright colors just to make certain parts more visible only make them look corny. Defeats the purpose of "...

New dlike evo-l is based on this chassis, and they're calling it "sound meister". http://ameblo.jp/mdrjy849/entry-11414053696.html It's going to have to be custom, You will probably have to change your center pulleys I believe stock they are both 18T you can change the one to a 17T and get...

Re: DRB copy?

It's like having a flywheel on every drive shaft. Once it's set in motion, it resists movement, so the front wheels keep spinning at off throttle. Vibrations in the drive shaft joints acts as drag brake and slow down the front wheels. Slower acceleration from higher mass is not really a concern for ...

Stock isn't bad. There's always room for improvement, or else we would still be running touring chassis with brushed motors, nimh batts on home made abs tires. i didnt have to go threw all that trouble just Run 3 piston in the shock with light wt oil, and softer spring.. My DIB Drifts like a Dream!

Re: Help deciding new chassis

I find the mst suspension to be very limited. Sure, angled kingpins are trendy, but There is no adjustablity in lower arm on the MST suspension. Wheelbase and skid angle are locked in. There is no adjustability in lower suspension mount width, angle etc. Upper arm adjustments are virtually useless o...

Re: looking for a small battery for DIB

You need as much weight in the rear as possible on this chassis. Use a 6000mah lipo and spaced out the upper deck with 2mm spacers. And/or lift the rear bulkhead 2mm with spacers for more lateral grip in the rear. Now I run the battery sideways like DRB, and weight distribution barely changed. Cente...

Re: Holding More Steering Angle

I think you mean anti squat. 3mm pro squat on an already rear heavy ta06 wouldn't be so good for handling.. Pro squat would make the rear end dump hard on throttle. http://ameblo.jp/osobaya/theme-10030132195.html Talk to Sobaya-san at Chance. You will find he runs lots of pro squat on the rear. chec...

Tamiya designed it that way to clear the spur. Not sure why they had to put the spur so far back, that the rear driveshaft and upper arm have to be angled like that. It's almost as bad as ta02.
