Yokomo BMW 320i

So the problem with buying a new body is you want to finish it... Quickly! After finishing the Hilux, I found myself looking for something to do. So being my impulsive self, I bought a Yokomo BMW 320i. For those of you reading this, especially newbies, I would strongly recommend you go out and buy y...

Re: Street Jam Hilux

I was looking at it, but because the GRT is based on the TA-05, it's easy to get parts locally if I need something. Yes, SA is very backwards and drifting is not very popular, well not as popular as racing (Hobby shops don't keep stock and if they do, they are very expensive so all the guys order on...

Stealth Mount Body Posts

So I picked up the Street Jam Hilux and decided to not make holes in it - because I normally make them in the wrong place of the body doesn't sit right once mounted. I did the following: I cut the body posts to the required length and fitted a rare earth magnet over each body post with a body clip u...

Street Jam Hilux

Hey guys! I'm from South Africa and it's a constant battle to get parts and bodies especially. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a Street Jam Hilux. It may be the only one in the country. Below are a few pictures to show what I've done with it. http://i1074.photobucket.com/albums/w412/Gdzilr/IMG...

Re: TA05 Drifter

I looked at your picture again and I have done the same. The flex in the chassis is reduced to the one side, but to the other side there is still some flex. I am going to make another modification to my pitman mod to bring the parallel bar down. Then I'll add another brace which would allow for no f...

Re: TA05 Drifter

What was the effect of adding the chassis brace? Was there a big improvement?

Re: TA05 Drifter

I made a change to my steering mod: http://i1074.photobucket.com/albums/w412/Gdzilr/Parmod1.jpg It seems to be working a lot better, but I'm still looking at the drawing board to make it better. I'd like to change the "uprights" to something a little more solid and use ball connectors. htt...

Re: TA05 Drifter

You've done a bad thing on your pitman steering, it add a strut bar effect too, the ball joints on the pivot blocks have to be free. A bad thing you say? Could you clarify what you mean, please? I know the mod is not perfect. It's my first attempt at something like this and I'm quite impressed beca...

Re: TA05 Drifter

I think he means 1,028 because 2,8% ;) You can also look at the pullies, they are almost all standard. On the CS Calculator App it works out to 2.8% which is virtually nothing. Both centre pulleys are 16T, 37T in the front and 36T in the back. I'm actually starting off with 50/50. I just happen to ...

TA05 Drifter

Hey guys! Long story short, I started off with RC years ago because it was nice to have. Since then my cars have been on and off the shelf. Last year I bought a TT-01 and then the search for a new house began and the car ended up in a box. A few months ago I discovered my car and decided to get seri...

I think it looks super, especially considering the amount of time that had to go into getting to the end result!
