Re: Yokomo S14 (460-Power D1SL)

Yea the light buckets were sold out when i got the body. Hopefully have them soon.

It took me over 8 hrs to finish this and yes, the stickers were the cause of most of that time. Each sticker has to be precisely cut out and applied...boy was that fun.

Yokomo S14 (460-Power D1SL)

Here is my second body for the Street Jam OTA-R31D. This is the Yokomo 460-Power D1SL S14. I built it by the book, all the recommended colors and decals. Only added the wing and mirrors from the Yokomo Koguchi Power 180sx kit. Body is held on with a combo of strong magnets and velcro. Velcro holds t...

Re: Holding More Steering Angle

Today i set the car to -6 front camber, -3 rear, slight toe out, rear dampers at 5th top hole and middle bottom hole. and ran the rear springs to zero preload and fronts to about a 1/4" or so. Also added some weight (my lug nut tool) to the front bumper and its awesome. I would like the rear to...

Re: Holding More Steering Angle

I drove a guys car that had the same amount of CS (1.8) as mine yet his felt insanely different. He fiddled with my settings and ended up making it a little better but still the rear just has too much grip. We think the fix will be getting rid of the rear toe-in and zero'ing it out. The OTA-R31 come...

Re: Holding More Steering Angle

Well I'm pretty sure there are more than just one chance circuit. It seems to be a franchise. The one I go to is on the second floor of a grocery store. Ill probably not o there too often since I found Noah Speedway...elevation changes, different routes, and scenery. Makes the whole thing twice as f...

Re: Holding More Steering Angle

Try harder springs, heavier oil, more shock angle, more camber, a little of toe-in at full lock (I believe that is negative akkerman). All of the above, your talking about making the adjustments to the front correct? I'm using the WORKS shock set, and springs are the same front and rear. I already ...

Re: Holding More Steering Angle

Dude, where do you drift at up in Tokyo? I'm down in Atsugi and can't find any tracks around here. I go to a track in Mizuho called Chance Circuit, and a place in Iruma called Noah Circuit. Both are too far of a drive for you tho...I would grab a japanese friend and go to a book store. Grab any RC ...

Holding More Steering Angle

Whats up guys. So at the local tracks here in Tokyo i have noticed almost everyone is holding lots of steering angle in the turns but even with 1.85CS in my Street Jam R31D it seems like i can steer in and just give minor flicks of counter-steer. If i try to hold a little bit of counter it will just...

Re: calculating FDR for OTA-R

I also have an OTA-R31 with the street jam CS kit running 1.8CS. My motor and ESC seem to get pretty hot after 10+ laps at the carpet track. My app is showing "FDR: 4.6". I'm assuming a hot motor is normal if i'm running a bunch of laps non-stop. Im using a Tamiya 450 sport tuned motor tha...

My Tamiya BMW M3 on the OTA-R31D

Just got this chassis and its making my old M3 body look dope. Probably going to stop here and pick up a AE86 body. I want my RC to match my real car  https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&ik=6dba0d169e&view=att&th=13c14b7d591948cb&attid=0.1&disp=inline&safe=1&zw I ...

Best Trueno hatch body? HPI?

What's up guys, while at a 1:1 drift event I saw a hatchback Trueno sliding and his rear hatch/trunk kept flying open. It looked badass and since I saw that I thought it would be awesome to get the 1/10 scale body, cut and hinge the trunk and see if the air pressure blows it up and down mid-drift. W...

Re: Please read Forum Member Applications

Hello, my name's Zack and I live in Tokyo, Japan. I just started RC drifting a few weeks ago after visiting a local indoor carpet track and trying a friends Yokomo DIB. I bought a Tamiya TT-01 (oblivious to how CS drifting worked) and soon realized I was wasting my time. 3hrs on the carpet with my k...
