Re: 3 Racing Sakura D3 CS

Jesus christ, I just finished the front upper shaft/gear assembly on this thing, either I overlooked some easy way to do all of that or it was just excruciatingly tedious and difficult. Between getting those gears lined up for the spring pins and actually managing to get the pins themselves into th...

Re: TT01 CS 100% start.

Looks good! maybe a bunch of weight on the front end might help keep it planted better? Try playing around with the little lead stick-on weights for balancing 1:1 car tires

Re: 3 Racing Sakura D3 CS

I've been running my D3 as RWD for a few weeks now while I wait to order my belts, and I've gotta say the RWD is growing on me! With a nice slow stock motor, some tire tuning and almost 1lb of weight on the front end it's actually very controllable. I have heard that the RWD drifters are just too s...

Re: Sakura D3 CS Full Setup

I've burnt out a front belt, so I've switched to RWD for the next few weeks until I can get some new belts. I've played with weight distribution and right now I have about 400g on the front bumper. I've also switched the motor to a 540 silver can running 22/80 geaaring. I deleted the C-hub but haven...

Re: explain counter steer gearing

The smaller and larger gears are used to make the front or rear (depending on where the gear is installed) to spin faster or slower than the other. Countersteer is just the name of this style of rc drifting, making the rear axle spin faster than the front, forcing you to countersteer like a real veh...

Re: 3 Racing Sakura D3 CS

Re: 3 Racing Sakura D3 CS

Well i got another few hours in at the carpet track. I'm getting better, but slowly lol... I was able to hold 8 of the 9 corners pretty well most of the time. I found a few secrets to tuning this chassis! They worked for me, I'm interested in seeing other peoples' setups! -I added ~200g to the rear ...

Re: 3 Racing Sakura D3 CS

I don't have any scales at home, so can anyone tell me if the left/right front weight is equal with a motor installed? i think my motor is making the chassis lean, does anyone add weight to the front right side? have you gotten the settings better to get better front traction yet like you mentioned...

Re: 3 Racing Sakura D3 CS

Ahh I see, thanks for your input. There isn't much I can do about the wheel chatter without better CVD's, I see that now. I might pick up some double cardins or the SSK cvd's sometime soon. I ran a FOW in my tt01 a couple years ago but I didn't like it, I perferred to huck into my drifts than e-brak...

Re: 3 Racing Sakura D3 CS

Quick question... I run my D3 on a carpet track, and I have WAY too much oversteer. Whenever I let off the throttle the car just keeps spinning and spins out, but if I keep it pinned full throttle it takes a few seconds and levels out but then I'm going too fast and spinning out into the next turn. ...
