When JZX Meets FRS
I had a JZX shell lying around and i didn't really want to do a WELD body, since so many others have done them. I ordered up an HPI FRS shell and got the first ones into the LHS. Sitting in my RC Lab one night, I was trying to come up with a Scheme. I saw the JZX sitting there and it hit me! A WELD ...

Drift package Conversions
So I am Seeing more and more options for converting the DRIFT PACKAGE chassis over to various other cars. Has anyone tried any of the new ones on the market? Specifically, I want to know if anyone has any feedback about the following: -Kazama GS-X conversion http://d2yankidori.weebly.com/1/post/2012...

This time the new Daijiro Yoshihara RocketBunny S13 coupe will be available soon. http://formulad.com/myFiles/images/drivers/car/2012/Daijiro-Yoshihara...

Re: Making an overpass...
At my shop, we had an overpass/elevated section. The track was carpet and we used tape at the junction where the 2 parts met. If you are using plywood, make sure that you use the smoothest stuff you can find. Also make sure that you allow plenty of angle for both up and down. Esp. if you run your ca...

Whats the Surface? painted plywood? Is that in a mini Storage? The aluminum sides suggest a tiny storage locker.

So I didn't see an electronics section, so I figured I would put this in here. I currently have a Novak Havoc BL setup running an 8.5t motor and a Futaba 3PKS radio. http://www.teamnovak.com/products/brushless/havoc_sport/index.html I am having trouble with my setup and wondered if I could compare t...

Rare bodies - those Disc. or one off limited productions.
So we all love various bodies and giving our cars a unique look, but how many folks out there have some bodies that are prized or that you debate cutting up to use, knowing that the likelihood of scoring another is next to IMPOSSIBLE!! There are some that are sought after and for me being around a L...

Re: I want to CS my Sprint 2
The Sprint 2 can be modified for CS. I have a friend who, with much patience and trial and error, managed to CS his Sprint2. The most common form of CS with this car, is changing the length of the front belt (I believe) and or decreasing the size of the rear pulley to create an overdrive effect. The...

Just got one of these cars into my shop and wondering if anyone has messed around with one?
Its a center mounted motor, dual belt system, so my thought is different pulleys and belts could make this CS worthy.

Re: Universals / CVD help
Yea, its strange cause the 200mm are too long and 190 are too short.
I'll try and measure the distance that I need. My biggest fear is not finding the right axle stub size and resorting to the huge 3/16 nuts that Asoc. use.

Universals / CVD help
So with out the boring details, I retro-fit my Associated TC4 to run the smaller more common axles/wheel nuts. The HPI universals fit perfect on the front, however the rear are just a tad too short. http://www.hpiracing.com/graphics/parts/86043/86043_01m.jpg And the other universals I have are too l...

Re: TC4 oneway outdrives
So, I just got the TC4 oneway for my car. here is the problem. the oneway is designed for the NITRO TC3 which as you know is 200mm. Using the stock CVD bones from the TC3 (190mm) the stock setup causes +camber. This severely limits the ability to camber. So, what is a person to do. I went to my stas...

Re: TC4 oneway outdrives
Pretty sure with the TC5 being belt drive and the TC4 being shaft, the conversion will not work. The way the diffs are constructed are different and not compatible.
I have a TC4 (formerly TC3) and I have the front spool in mine, which seems to help.

Re: TC3 CS system
I modded my case too, I just had to make it a little wider and use yoke bearings from my old YR4. I need to mod the shaft in order for the CS pinion to fit. Its coming along. Debating on if I should shave and modify the spur gear and shaft, OR just try and adapt yoke parts to use. Email me at Chris ...

Interested in what difficulties you have finding the 1-way. I work for a store and I can order the part.

Re: Associated TC3 CS Setup?
Can't wait to see what you find. I have a TC3 and have been considering using the Yoke CS kit to convert my TC3. I wonder how important the spool/1 way is in a CS application. I have essentially locked my diff to make it drift. I have fairly good response with mine, however i think i need to ditch t...
