R31 has pulley in middle, D3 needs it to one side... be easier to buy the right part.

Pro/Pro2 is what Sprint/Sprint2 is based upon, many parts similar to the point of interchangeability.

That's sort of what I figured. Should I just grab a set of the pre mounted tire/wheel packs on rcmart with my other stuff? And what's a safe offset to start with? I know I probably can't expect to get perfect fitment with the body before getting it put together and looking at everything. 0-3mm offs...

HPI doesn't make injection-molded styrene parts like Tamiya & Yokomo,

material looks a lot like what some cloner like TOPENDHOBBY currently use

i left them on as indicator which edge should point forwards

D3 CS arms got stupid "batwing" style protrusions that afaik do nothing but poke my hand, PITA (hand!) when building/wrenching

VDF has same 112/120/128 spur trio in the kitbox, manual shows 128 being used

VDFii manual shows 112 being used (& the 128 is pictured blacked out "unused")

manual says there's 4 spurs in the kit:- 105, 112, 120, 128 @ 04mod kit pinion is 38 there's only max 4mm in motormount screw slots to move front/back, be less in perpendicular to spur diff pulleys are 37, the other 4 small pulleys are all 18 the 1st small pulley (driving front diff) CANNOT GO BIGGE...

TA03RS has exact same pulleys as TA03F/R/FS/RS... the shorties only have a shorter belt

make a list of what you need measured bud, will see what i can do

i might have a go carving out the kit stockers...

if that fails, otherwise might try some double cardans

both belts do same job


you don't need to buy Tamiya turnbuckles, any other brand of same size will work

in UK probably easiest to find Schumacher spareparts, there's plenty of turnbuckles in their bags.

D3CS is 44mm vs TA05v2 is 46mm

don't bother, causes more problems than its worth. If your chassis is designed as forward or front motor then that's great & can be beneficial in only SOME track/layout/design/driver circumstances; you're better off practising with a properly-setup reliable car than spending time cobbling togeth...
