Re: Hard time installing drive gear OTA ZEON

I have a zeon MK.2 and it the same thing. those little clips are "whatever" IMO... Now that big spacer should have a another spacer to keep the gear from going bad. do you have both of these in the pic on this site? If not your gonna have to order some. Be thankful they are cheap! http://r...

Re: Body fitment for tc-fd

As far as pandora goes and or any other company goes bodies will fit. Tamiya makes some small bodies (187-190) and yeah that RX7 is small as far as offsets/width are concerned. Not all tamiya bodies are small ETc, GS400, r34,r35,supra, and so on. Also I think that TC-FD was made for 200mm bodies (HP...

Re: Body fitment for tc-fd

If check the manual from the TC-FD it will tell you the wheel base. Also ABCHOBBY also list how big the body is wheel base and how wide the body is as well. When I first started I used that as a guide. Also Tamyia is great at the details of the body. FYI if your gonna get a tamyia porsche shell, I c...

Re: Body fitment for tc-fd

Ok I know that HPI wheel base is smaller than ABC,TAMIYA, pandora AND YOKOMO. Hpi is at 257 and the rest are at 260. the TC-FD I can be extended to 260 by moving the rear wheel back, by moving the spacer on the suspension block.

I have the tekin RS pro, I like it. I also have a KO-PRO-PO BLZ350, that I like as well. Novak is some straight crap, PERIOD. Stay away, trust me. One good reason there ESC's only seem to work with novak motors...Fail. KO-PRO-PO BLZ350 is really nice for the price 85-120 on the same level as Yokomo ...

I just got in my other pulleys. I got 16/23 Center and 28 rear.

What cs ratio will that give me?

2.05% CS Or 105% CS
Front with 40/16 = 2.5
Rear with 23/28 = 1.217
Pinion and spur that should be IMO is 80/24 which gives you 3.333 GEAR RATIO AND A CS FDR OF 6.85

Re: Body thickness-ess-ess-ess's discussion

I wanted to start tracking body thickness, specifically as it relates to longevity. So along those lines, if you have a body that is incredibly durable for being thin, or ridiculously fragile for being thick, talk about it here. Overbuilt -Street Jam S14 is the heaviest, thickest body I've ever see...

Re: "The devil drift" r2chassis

guys it's a clone of the active hobby ta06 Front motor conversion in plastic. For 88 bucks that's not a bad price. it's only a matter of time before the aluminum parts for that come from R2hobbies. I would have gotten one of these before the R31FM in a heart beat! Hmmmmm.......

Re: R31 or VDF

Tamiya drivetrain is much smoother than R31. Adjusting belt tension at the diff, allows better flexibility with cs pulley and belt combinations without having to deal with tensioners. Stock vdf with only cs upgrade is plenty capable. If you know what you're doing, tamiya suspension is super adjusta...

Re: need new chassis

Hmmm... I'm fan of Street Jam so get the R31FM! It's cheap and comes CS'd at 53% OD and if you want 1.80 get a 16t PULLEY or 2.0 14t pulley. If you don't have a r31 for the conversion I have the parts list from when I built one, depending on what you want plastic or aluminum it can be really cheap. ...

Re: DRB spool question

IMO 10.5 is good motor size for drifting with a belt system PERIOD. I've seen guy chew up belt after belt with the DRB and kill diff blades as well just in the name of speed. If you want to throw JUST A TON OF POWER AT THAT, get the overdose motor mount, over wise you will kill a belt and maybe a be...
