Re: Baja's RWD VDF V3

^i completely agree. ive been working on trying to get set ups to pick up speed a lot faster to keep up with the cs and regular 50/50 cars Our cars tend to get much faster when running a low gearing with c/s'd cars. A lot of the guys tend to stick with a 10.5 or 13.5 and run gearing for torque. It ...

Re: TA-05 Ver II

i have this chassis and even with the 1.98 its still really easy to drive. i'd say go with that first. i got a bigger pulley to raise the cs level for a more realistic look.

Re: DIB advice

the vdf is one of the easiest drift chassis to set up. whats the reason youre over it?

the dib is decent IMO but i feel that the vdf is better. thats the reason i bought a vdf 2 and its just a tad better than the first version.

Re: brushless soldering

so you put the resin on the tab? are you putting the iron on the tab to warm it up and then the wire on top of the tab? when you have a good solder it has a solid silver look to it.

Re: when will we get a real chassis?

drifting is such a small part of rc. and cubadragon already said it. its about money. stalwart is also right. diy is the way to go. Wouldn't say so. Drift is generating already 70% of Yokomos turnover. well you must be seeing "rc" as only cars. rc is everything. motorcycles, helicopters, ...

Re: brushless soldering

is resin the same as flux? and 30 seems pretty low. but it seems that you need to heat up the wire more

Re: best esc/motor on the market

I have the tekin RS pro, I like it. I also have a KO-PRO-PO BLZ350, that I like as well. Novak is some straight crap, PERIOD. Stay away, trust me. One good reason there ESC's only seem to work with novak motors...Fail. KO-PRO-PO BLZ350 is really nice for the price 85-120 on the same level as Yokomo...

Re: best esc/motor on the market

i've seen countless hobbywings fail. and i've seen a bunch of castle motors fail too. i currently run a novak 8.5 sport and i gear it as low as possible. i clean it out once in a while and make sure the bearings have oil (the bearings i'll clean more often) but ive had a novak esc burn up. no idea w...

Re: geared diffs instead of oneway

the only advantage i can think of is the ability to lock up all 4 wheels when braking instead of just having an ebrake action. well depends on the driver of course

but everything else has been said. haha

is the 1st gen deck a 2.5? or thinner? you could get it machined to take out material for the flex.

just as everyone said. the cyclone is very capable. but gettin it to drive how you want is part of the fun. your platform is fine. build on it :)
