I really like that D-Like's 86 body. Do you think that it would fit Active FR conversion chassis since it's also front motor mount?

Re: Active Hobby Front Motor Conversion

I originally was just gonna go with 1.8ish CS but after reading your build, it inspired me to go even further lol. And you're right, high CS ratio is very controllable with this chassis and I really like how it handles so far. Let us know how full time RWD is on this chassis Automatix, a video would...

Re: Holding More Steering Angle

JyuRoku, have you gone to Waru Circuit in Yokohama? I've been there once and was required to run THEIR tires. They let me borrow a set of 4 and let me tell ya, it is like drifting on ice =D. I was using my DRB at the time and was able to hold high drifting angles throughout their carpet track.

Re: Another DRB Vibration Thread

Hey Joshy_T, did you greased the s*** out of the front cvds? I was getting some vibration when I was testing out the ball differential at full lock but it went away when I installed the front one-way. Also make sure the bearing covers sit evenly on the bulkheads.

Re: DRB steering...

Hi Foks! This monday my DRB arrived from japan. Holy moly... what a nice thing. Looks live a lot more cool! ;) But after building that wonderful driftpiece, the problems came in to my house. I haven`t changed any setup. Only the springs, but that shouldn`t change nothing. If i accelerate and start ...

Re: Automatix' - DRB

I didn't know StreetJam have a harder compound than their ultrahard. I'll have to check that out. Did you smooth them out on asphalt first before using them on carpet? Also, do you have a video of your DRB drifting with those settings? Thanks for the 12t pulley pix sample man.. I'll probably won't g...

Re: Automatix' - DRB

Good looking setup man. Where did you buy your 12T pulley? I want one now :D . Also, are those the new streetjam ultra hard tires and how does it feel on carpet? I have a set of the ultrahards but haven't tried them yet.. All the tires I've tried are not as smooth and slippery as Yokomo single rings...

Re: OVERDOSE DRB

im in the process of changing up my drb right now to match up abit with slideway's chassis, im puting my standard 44's in the front end and actually putting grease in them :P, but im not going to be cambering up the front end more then 2 degrees. because the camber actuall counter-acts the effect o...

Re: OVERDOSE DRB

Joshy T, damn.. sorry to hear about what happened man. I use OverDose 44mm for the front and with -10* camber, the dogbone still sits really close to the inside of the front one-way hub, so I know with 45.5mm, the dog will definitely hit the end of the cup causing to grind. What camber are you runni...

Bought a smaller 186mm front belt for use with 13T center pulley: http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/8024/img0512hn.jpg Shot at 2011-05-15 Then I had to use four 0.5mm shims so that the pulley can be aligned with front gear: http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/7743/img0514bb.jpg Shot at 2011-05-15 He...

Re: OVERDOSE DRB

Automatix, are you drifting on carpet or asphalt? Did you do the mod for you VDF for front shocks or both? Someone mentioned heavy drag brake for DRB on here before and i felt it today while drifting on carpet. To alleviate that i had to set neutral trigger throttle on my 4PK to about 60% and it fel...

Re: OVERDOSE DRB

@JoshyT : I had ABC Hobby's tapered pistons before as well but that made no difference at all. I am using stock Yokomo shocks. Now with Hamster82's mod, i made the plastic shims to cover the 3 piston holes completely and it dramatically changed my DRB's handling ability. Here's the link to OverDose'...

OVERDOSE DRB

My new DRB setup after OverDose conversion. I had 2.0 CS installed before but find that to be too easy on carpet and still not enough countersteering even with the 0 rear toe. Hamster82's slow damper rebound mod really helped mid-high speed switchbacks. Make: Yokomo Model: DRB Date: 5/14/11 Track su...
