Wider front gives it a bit of oversteer and a bit more cs in turns ;)

Re: Anyone try kick-down??

And what i meant with caster and putting spacers under the blocks not being the same is that with caster nothing will be affected suspension wise, apart from the looks and from your maximum lock on the axles ofcourse. Putting spacers under the blocks will indeed give more or less caster, but also c...

Re: Anyone try kick-down??

I haven't heard of anyone actually doing the kick-down or reversed c-hub (negative caster) Anti-Dive (adding shims/spacers to to the rear of the front sus. block) reduces weight transfer to the front on deceleration. What Calzone was referring to is when the wheels are at full lock it wouldn't have...

Had the body laying around and finally decided to work on it :D The paint scheme was inspired by a bosozoku GX71. Only had the front and rear bumpers of the runfree kit. Re: Countersteering setup

your 2 cents are wrong unfortunately. the rear is almost always softer. especially when driving cs. I'm gonna have to disagree with you, it really depends on your setup. Most of us run same springs all around or slightly stiffer rear than the front (it gives it more of a realistic dive when enterin...

Re: New to CSing and my car doesn't want to turn

When it comes to the CS Calc, I know that it was designed to get everyone on the same page, but if a ratio of 1.0 = 100% , 2.0 = 200% , then wouldn't the calc be wrong in that case?? I'm sorry, but it's just how I see it :) How I look at the numbers that is :) I was referring to your 2.44 ratio = 2...

Re: New to CSing and my car doesn't want to turn

I've done plenty of 50/50 drifting, but not CS drifting. I'm not looking at lowering the CS ratio just to learn it. I'm going to try to tune it as it is and then it is purely up to me to learn to drive it. I'm not fussed how long it takes me to learn to drive it, but I'm going to learn to drive it ...

DL the CS calc or visit Drift missions online calc and plug in your pulleys and your current spur/pinion. You want your CS FDR around 7 - 8.5

Yokomo and AE blades work as well. HPI/HB might not work, the pins are bigger.

Re: Official Top End Hobby TEH-R31 Build and Resource Thread

I'm not really sure if I should change to 64pitch or not... It's really up to how clean the surface you drift on. 64p spur/pinions have smaller teeth, so if a rock gets caught it will ruin the gears. 48p spur/pinions have bigger teeth so they are more reliable on track surfaces where there is debris.

Re: New to CSing and my car doesn't want to turn

Could you post a video of it? :D Seriously, a CS ratio of 144% is way too much for a chassis that is not tuned to the point to handle it. And not even necessary to have a proper CS experience and drifting. - I would recommend something like 50% for the moment. - I first wanted to ask what kind of ti...
