Post by Lukas » Tue Sep 18, 2012 9:22 pm

So i was used to t drifts, but i thought i should try some diamond cuts. I cant find the right setup for my car now :( it looks like it brakes fast, but is slower when drifting. With t drifts i used to be faster :) any tips/suggestions?

More info on your current setup would help. What kind of surface are you drifting on? Are you running any negative camber?

Im drifting on asphalt, its not the smoothest. Im running a bit of positive rear camber and about 5 negative in front.

Sorry dude, but those diamond cut tires from R2Hobbies suck on asphalt... HPI T-Drifts are far better...

They are a softer compound so they will grip more, I use them on polished concrete instead...

I suggest you sand them until they turn flat - it's the best way. Otherwise you have to tun ridiculous amount of camber.

Had a competition today on smooth concrete and the were awesome. Shame my motor was making weird noises and not performing well :D
