hi, I finally finished the setup for my ARD CER D11 with OTA-R31 suspension kit.


Make: ARD Alex racing design
Model: CER D11

Date: 6.11.11
Track surface: asphalt, polished concrete, carpet
Tire: T-drift, StreetJam Hard 45°
Motor & ESC: LRP Vector X12 Octawind 8.5T sensored with SPX super reverse ESC

Front

Camber: -10°
Toe: 0°. when pushed down it gets a little toe in, maybe 0.5°
Kick up: 1mm
Caster hubs: 7°
Ride height: 8mm
Springs: stock ARD springs
Bumper weight: none
Sway-Bar: none
Shock Oil: Tamiya #400
Other: Street Jam OTA-R31 suspension kit, shocks as vertical as possible

Rear

Camber: -8°
Toe: 0
Kick up: 1mm
Ride height: 1cm
Springs: stock ARD
Sway-Bar: none
Shock Oil: #300
Other: shocks as vertically as possible again, slow rebound mod, battery as far forward as possible, but still experimenting with that.

Drive Train

Front: 38
Center: 14 / 21
Rear: 32
Spur: 120
Pinion: 32
Other: using stealth CS (no new belts)

attention: the servo rod wasnt connected so this ISNT full lock... maybe 80% I'd guess.
Also pretty little ackermann (seems a bit more in this picture because of the angle, sorry for that..)

"Stealth CS" ? - I think those pulleys will give it away right away. :lol:

I believe that depends on the track. On the big tracks the forward position should give more stability in long bends, while the backwards position will help kicking the rear around the corner on small and technical tracks.

with stealth cs I mean no need to change belts or add tensioners :D sorry for the confusion :blush:

and thanks for the info on battery positions, will definately give that a try!

how about the rear belt.Is it touching the motor.

well, I have to admit the 21T pulley is a tight fit and with normal spur gear (112T) and 30T pinion I had too little clearance for my taste (~1mm). Now I changed to 120T spur with 32T pinion and its ok. Has 2mm clearance which is working fine for me O:)

just want to double confirm rear 21/32 no need to change belt? what belt size do you use.i try mind but can not fit
