New Set Up in First Post !

I was able to do a very stable run by setup of the beginning, and it was difficult to get CS angle.

The guys of http://www.rc-race-and-drift-japan.com/ did a great job on translation the setup up sheets for the slipper.

I don't own the D-maxx so it would be nice the read some experiences of the slipper clutch. I don't got the feeling jet.

Here

and here

When I understand right the thing to do is apply the gears only on one side of the slipper and than create an adjustable overdrive. And that with the standard gears.

I have done 50-50 couter dori in loosened front ball diff on other chassis.
It's work on asphalt.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gLsyTQO0hw
but pretty hard to @ Arai.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt1nxVssLDM

Therefore
I locked center clutch now, because I want to confirm chassis balance of my D-Max first at Arai.

I think I need a much time is necessary if I try loosened center clutch counter dori setup at Arai.
I will try that but I don't know when.
I want to know character of my D-Max more.

†DevilZed† wrote:Hello Katsumi,

I saw your post about changing the Spur Gear to the B-Max gear (48P 81T)and using a 24T pinion gear on your Yokomo D-Max. Can you tell me what brand and where I can get the Pinion gear you are using and was there any modification needed in order to fit the B-Max Spur Gear to the D-Max?Also, how was the Yokomo FCD 2.0 gears compared to the 1.5? did you notice any changes and was it better?

Thanks for your help.

B-Max Super is not necessary mod fit to D-Max clutch. and I used Yokomo pinion gear PG-4824.
I try to FCD 2.0 setup on my D-Max last week but I like 1.5 than 2.0 at Arai.
It's difficult to drive it promptly when it's FCD 2.0.

Katsumi,

How do you lock the center?
Do you use the yokomo clutch grease?
is it better to get the white (soft) one or blue (hard) one..

Funny thing about D-Max center clutch is that once you played it long enough.. the clutch slips badly.. this is with the included white clutch grease applied..

I am going to follow your setup.. I think its best to lock the center and use 1.5 gears for the rears.

Hey Guys,
I have a friend who has just purchased the D-Max HSS and she is also thoroughly confused by the slipper clutch issue.
She is considering setting it up with the CS kit and has purchased the 1.5 and the 2.0 in preparation.
R&D Japan told her that she would get a CS ratio of 1.8 from the 2.0 FCD, is this correct??

She is really curious about the locking method of the Slipper Clutch, so if anyone could simply let me know the technique for locking the Slipper Clutch, then I will pass the info onto her.

CHEERS Guys,

Dave

Hey Dezmond,
thankyou so much for such a quick reply, I wasn't expecting such a quick response and I am greaful to you.

In regards to the item in the link, this basically converts the slipper into a solid / locked diff, correct. Easy enough to fit the gears etc onto?? My friend, she is totally new to building up chassis and this whole slipper clutch thing has her really confused, so I told her that I would come and get some advice. I do believe that the locked centre is the way to go, but am not familiar with the D-Max chassis really.
If this is what she needs to creat a locked centre, then I will recommend it to her.

Cheers Dezmond :)
