Time to make my one Set Up topic.

Will post up complete setup later on. (reserved first post for that)

Be in my first run I came across a problem:

First I tried the Yokomo Single ring tires. Need to find some balance, but could get the hang of counter steer. I run 150% (Yokomo 1.5 gear).
Sometimes want more oversteer, but as said the first experiences are good.

After driving a while switched to the HPI Tdrift slicks. These tires gave me more speed and control. With this setup preferd these.

Then the battey was down. And mounted a new one. Then problems came.

I run the Novak slydr 6.5 but limit the travel with my transmitter. Think is was somewhere between 60 an 80% of travel. So didn't drive full power.
When connection the battery the wheels turned a little. Strange, but nothing really bad. So mounted the body and would make another run. But when applying throttle the car didn't drive. Made some electric beep noise. And when applying throttle again it only made a small turn.

So release the body to figure out what the problems are. Turned the Esc back on. The drive chain had no lock so applied throttle again. And than smoke came out of my ESC. quickly disconnected the battery.
It now is broken. When connecting battery again is immediately start to smoke. Even when its turned of.

I really don't know what went wrong because I drove a full battery and nothing get really hot.
I hope it was the problem of the ESC and not my one fault.

So despite nothing got really hot I would like to discuss my FDR and gearing.

Ik now run the stock kit Yokomo gears with the 1.5 gear in the back. That gives me the following FDR's caculated like mentioned in this topic

Front FDR 5.49
Rear and rear FDR 3.71
And rear overdrive is 148%

Use the Novak SLYDR with the 6.5 motor. But limit the travel almost every time according to track size.

What would be an nice FDR front and rear?

And an unmodified movie of the first run:
