Can you post pictures of how you made the caster adjustable? Also, what would you say is a better chassis, TA05, or TA04?

Sorry I can't say yet which one is better yet, I have not had much use of the TA-04 yet.

Thanks PS13, I'm really pleased with this one.
Ha yeah, to be honest I have no spare turnbuckles or rod ends I keep finding uses for them.!

Thanks Val! Much appreciated!

I want to do that on my TA05. Oh, and let me know which one you like more, the 05 or the 04.

Cheers.

No I use a ball front diff with a 36t TA-05 pulley, I am going to swap to a V2 37t pulley soon. The belt is standard too.
When you work out your pulley teeth count try and keep the totals the same to use the standard belt. ie standard 15t + 32t =47t my version 10t +37t =47t same tooth count, the belt fits fine.

Orite,so this that the ta05 standard pulley fits well with the diff pulley of ta04..then the center pulley 10t HTD pulley, what the name of the brand HTD, at my place, I do not know the HTD brand..like losi or xray is more common to me..and by the way what the CS ratio?

Yes thats right, the ta-05 pulleys fit the ta-04 diff with no mods.
HTD is short for high torque drive heres a link, http://www.motionco.co.uk/timing-pulley ... 35_36.html
The ratio is 1.687 to 1.

very nicely done, i have just picked up a ta04r and lookin at doing this to mine, you can run a 42T diff at the front by losi if you use a tamiya ta03f belt, and you can just up the ratio at the back, but not neccessary, by using a yokomo or trf416 rear belt you can use a 18 or 20t centre. as they have a lot more teeth, mine is currently 50/50, just getting my parts together, mainly just need the 42t and a 30 for the rear, thus u can make your cs ratio about 110% +++

ie.... 42/10 and 30/15, 110% cs. all you need is the 2 diffs and the belt.

will post up when completed. |O|

Nice one, glad to hear there is another TA-04 owner out there.
I am not sure the losi pulley will fit in the front but I havent tried either.
I do know that a 22/32 rear set up works with a Serpent S400 short belt.
I have changed to a 37t VDF front pulley now and altered the tensioner slightly, both orignal belts fit perfectly.
I find 1.7 to 1 to be plenty of underdrive, try your plus 2 to 1 set up though it might be just the trick.
Thanks.
