Counter-Steer Chassis: Soon-to-be a Tamiya _____

Hey, everyone! Sean is the real name. I have been drifting for a few years now, but in between seasons and when my ride is in the air getting fixed, I picked up RC drifting to pass the time. Just got myself a little HPI Micro RS4 to get the hang of drifting with the sticks, but will be moving out of the 50:50 game and into CS pretty quickly, as I understand the basic physics of the sport and feel I've already surpassed my little MRS4, fun as it is. I've essentially settled on a Tamiya chassis for my CS drifter, just making the smaller decision of which version to go with and all. Anyways, thanks for having somewhere like this still running on the net, seeing as I'm getting into this well after the big boom (judging by all the inactive drift forums online). I love drifting, anything RC, snowboarding, golf, and just being outside!

I would like to join CSJunkies so that I can talk shop and seek advice without getting odd stares from friends, who just can't understand, mainly because I won't sacrifice my babies for their learning! At any rate, I'm hoping to build my CS knowledge before making concrete decisions on the direction I will be taking my build. Thanks for having me, and glad to be here!

Been drifting 50/50 for a few years and decided to kick into CS.
Brought myself a Sakura D3 CS from RCMART a few months back, but still have not spent much time with it.
Finding the 2.14 a bit nasty to hold on switches, but slowly getting used to it.
Have considered the almighty reduction of the CS Ratio but still undecided.
Practice makes perfect I guess right lol

Been a non-registered reader of this site for some time and have found countless mods, tips and hints extremely helpful.

Also have a V1 TA05 50/50 soon to be modded to CS

Thanks CSJUNKIES and MEMBERS for your ongoing support and help

Been drifting for over 6 years now, love this stuff, love the realism between the real life cars and the rc cars...also being able to apply those same concept with the
real cars to the rc cars are what intrigued me about drifting.

I've been into RC cars for all my life, I still have my original rc10, turbo optima and some older Tamiya street cars. about 4 years ago (maybe more) when everyone got those first government refund checks, my friends and I all decided to get the same tc4 with our checks. been drifting rc ever since. just this week some co-workers decided to get drift rc's so it looks like the sparks re-ignited. time to find out what's changed and what's new. I'm also into real cars and have been drifting those since the late 90's.

My name is Steve. I've had a TC4 for several years with drift wheels on it. I never could figure it out. I recently ordered an R31-RWD and while waiting for it I got a Fr1Way for my TC4. It's significantly easier!! I've been into RC for a long time - 20+yrs. I bought an RC-10 brand new at the LHS, but I'm new to drifting.

I would like to join CSJunkies to learn more about set up and the physics of rc drifting. I feel like there is a big hole here in Plano Texas that needs to be filled with the good clean fun that RC Drifting has to offer. I think I'd like to be the one to fill it - I just need to let the wheels turn a bit... and think sideways :)

Hi All. I want to learn more about CS drifting, as it's much more true to life (and therefore cooler). So far I've got a TT01, but not set up for CS.
Thanks!

What's up everyone, new here and want to say hi. Checking in from Toronto, Canada, new to the forum but old school to RC cars. I own a shop in Toronto called Carbox Industries (Feel free to check out our Facebook page or Instagram @carboxindustries). We specialize in many high end cars, and do vinyl, window tint, and paint protection.
Many of our guys here are into RC Drifting, and I am hoping to bring it into our auto scene here in Toronto. For the guys in the GTA, hope to see you guys soon at some events!

Hello everyone my name is Bryan from Project-G out here in Southern California. Just got into RC drifting about a month ago and thoroughly enjoying it! Right now I'm running a Sprint 2 Flux RTR with a FOW, 21T rear gear with a locked diff, 5.5x180 rear belt cut to 4mm. Working on that countersteer! I'll post pics when I get the chance. Just thought I'd introduce myself. Here's a couple pics I had floating around on my phone. Thanks again!

I've been out of the RC scene for a few years, but I am finally getting back into it. CS is everything I wanted from RC drifting back when I worked at my hobby shop. Having graduated and looking for a job, I have the free time I needed to fuel my hobbies again. I'm looking to learn all that I can and this seems like a good place to do that.

Years Drifting: RC for about 8 months, G25+LFS for yeeears, real cars 4 or 5 times
Counter-Steer Chassis: Yokomo Drift Package (+TypeC conversion kit[including front one way] & FCD2.0x solid axle set)

A friend and I got into RC drifting first of all when we found videos of realistic looking tracks being drifted and an on-board video of a well modelled animated driver steering and pulling the 'handbrake'... I instantly fell in love with the attention to detail modelling shells and I was already interested in building and modding (I work on a go-kart track, so sort of mechanically minded). I bought a RTR Yokomo DP clone and decided I was going to go CS, then RWD(probably the Wrap-Up FR-D 2.0 front-motor chassis).

I'm joining CSJ because I would like to ask some questions whilst building my mods (I'm currently having problems getting my bevel gear out of my rear diff) and have somewhere to show off my setup once I get round to painting my shell). Plus I like it when people talk nerdy to me lol

My name is Nathan, I got involved with Rc drifting after seeing some random videos on YouTube, rushed off to my LHS and purchased a TT-01 Type E, no further knowledge of Rc drifting was available to me at this point so I struggled to "Learn" with the rubber kit tires, found a local Rc drift forum and been learning from there about how wrong I actually was.

I want to join CS Junkies to further learn more about CS and make myself a better drifter and pass on as much info as I can that I have learnt.
