Some sensored esc's won't run if you switch the motor wires. I know if you run sensorless it will work.

Btw might be wrong but I connected the wires as color coded and my transmitter is on normal on my VDF and the throttle is forward.

I didn't realise this for sensored, wouldn't most sensored ESC's have an option in the programming?

I wouldn't advise switching motor wires from the "A" "B" or "C" positions as intended on a SENSORED setup - will work fine on any SENSORLESS setup, but not the sensorED setups...

What ESC do you have? Most will have an option to reverse the motor in their settings, but if not, the only way i know of is to switch it via the transmitter =)

Assuming its a VDF yeah?

Not familiar with either the esc or vdf myself, but the manual states in the troubleshooting section that the car has a 'reversed gearbox' and that you can't run a sensored setup if your motor is running in reverse direction (assuming wires are correctly connected)

But pretty unlikely this is the case, as the vdf is known to run with other sensored setups... too drunk to think right now tbh lol hopefully someone will chime in with something for you man...

VDF uses conventional motor, unless you've built it with the motor plate on the LEFT side then yeah your motor has to run reversed.

Unsensored you just switch any 2 leads and it'll run reversed.

Some sensored ESCs have setting function for reversed operation, usually they'd be crawler specialised ESCs.
