ESC Settings

Postby MOmo » Sun Nov 20, 2011 3:33 am

So I didn't see an electronics section, so I figured I would put this in here.

I currently have a Novak Havoc BL setup running an 8.5t motor and a Futaba 3PKS radio.

I am having trouble with my setup and wondered if I could compare the settings of my Havoc with others. Based on the info from Novak, i seem to get the error code of a locked rotor. At times, giving it full throttle results in flashing lights, and sometimes I need to hit reverse then forward for the ESC to activate. Other times, if I Bump the car, it begins to work. I was looking at the setup manual, but I don't know if anyone uses any special setup for ESC settings when it comes to drifting. I know how to set up my ESC if I was racing, but with drifting, are there other adjustments needed? Drag brake? Etc? Likewise, on the radio, are people making any special adjustments?

Does anyone else have this setup, or at least a setup from a Havoc ESC?

Check your sensor wires, clean them w comp air or a brush. and check all the wires from your esc to your motor.

Using a Novak GTB and Novak XBR Sport without any issues noted below.
Sounds like a faulty connection...

Mail the guys @ Novak.
I deal with a guy by the name of Charlie ([email protected]) or contact them through [email protected].
