2WD Drift Setup

Postby Rabbits0c » Sat Oct 13, 2012 10:58 am

i have an HPI RS4 Rally chassis that i have converted to Drift, and i am once again in the process of more modifications, looking to do the 2wd drift mod, tried once before but the rear of car just spins out upon initiation, saw some videos of the chassis being weighted at the front, just wanted a second opinion on how to control the rear from spinning out

Work on your throttle control or change your throttle settings via ESC and/or transmitter.

yea i have tried that to but my chassis setup is heavy on the rear, so i was thinking weight the front to counter balance it to make it more controllable
thats why i was asking you guys here because i am still new to the whole drift scene

Definitely add more weight up front and try to get a 50/50 balance or as close as you can.

My suggestions are:you need huge steering angle, very soft suspension, vertical shocks,50-50 weight is a good start, try hpi t-drifts,slow motor and months of practise i think
