Engine Bay painting

Postby serpentct4s » Sat Feb 02, 2013 6:11 pm

I just got my engine bays from Demi Works.

What kind of paint should I use on it? I will be doing the lexan bay part the same color as the body. What about the plastic engine part? Do I use enamel, paint markers or something else?

I used faskolor with some success, actually turned out really nice. It did require quite a few coats for the silver to really pop. I would suggest that you look it over and lightly sand it, I had some areas where you could see his finger prints from where he was handling it while molding some parts. Also get some new paint brushed I picked up a really fine point and a short angled fan tip and they worked really well. Only pics I have of it are on instagram I think.
