Postby stuffcc » Sun Sep 05, 2010 9:11 am

A project started last week.
For now, just the steering works, next step are pedals...

Hope you like it ! O:)

OMG!!! superb job bro!! imagine putting an on board camera...it'll b like drifting in LFS! or better, the real thing!

my guess is u strip down ur transmitter and wheel..combining the steering circuit to the wheel's ..m i rite?

10x  from me bro!!

Lol, I try LFS with a G25 and with this wheel... not the same !
But for the moment, I just want to have steering, brake and throttle who works, after, maybe put an inboard cam (that I already have).
But I want to add a klaxon, and some fun things to it...

For the video from workspec channel, I viewed it, it's the start of my project, but It's not the first time where I view an RC controled by a racing wheel.
He use the steering of the wheel but the brake/throttle of the transmitter, and I don't want to do it, I prefer pedals 8-)

Thanks ;)

Awesome... Seriously dude, where do you get all these ideas? Front servo mod, now this. Genius, pure genius.

Thanks.

No it's not difficult, for the moment (lol) the harder is comming (pedals) I don't know how I will do it for the moment...

A tut', mmh so hard for me, it's already hard to explain in french (It's a big problem for me, not the language but explain...) then in english !! *-|

FSC, it's not my idea, but the double servo horn yes (I don't know if someone else do it, if yes, don't know before I made it !)
This RC Racing Wheel isn't eather my idea, don't know who invent it first...

The video on workspec channel, like I already said, the brake/throttle of the transmitter on the wheel...
Ok, it's the more easy to do, but not the best to drive !
Then I prefer do an hard system for pedals and have a great driving with it than his R.W.

dunno if this would help u but here's my idea..

i've dismantled my flysky GT3 TX, the trigger is connected to a variable resistor, with its center position is neutral or highest resistance and full left/right is 0 resistance +ve and -ve voltage..well that's wut i think

so lets assume that forward (pulling trigger) is +ve voltage and brake/reverse is -ve voltage
if u can connect the accelerator pedal with 0 to max +ve voltage and the brake pedal connected to 0 to max -ve voltage..i think it might work..

correct me if i'm wrong...i'm super noob with electronics stuff...

Yes I've imagnined this idea too, but when the two pedals whill be pushed, I don't know that the variable resistor will appreciate !
(don't know if my sentence is understandable...)

how about u put on a relay....like when the accel pedal is pressed the brake pedal is disabled, vice versa...that way they wont clash...i guess..

My father had take some pics at a comp where I've participated this week :

It's just awesome, I tested it in CS 1,5 on my VDF and it's harder because the wheel rotate at 180° !
Now I've the time to finish it, and hollydays are in 2 weeks, then I will make a big video with installation, run and maybe photos of the inside of the wheel and pedals. ;)
