what connectors to use?

Postby 630rick » Thu Feb 14, 2013 7:36 pm

i wanted to remove the wires from my esc so that the only wires that attach to the motor are the wires that are on the motor, also wanted to use something else besides deans plugs for my lipo. my lipo has removable wires. so i would like to have connectors on my battery wires from the esc. any ideas would be great.

If you don't want to use deans plugs I'd suggest the traxxas plugs as they are easier to plug and unplug. Otherwise I'd suggest to use what everyone else around you is using just so you can swap battery packs with no problems if need be.

If you've got the removable bullet plugs, you can also just solder bullet plugs to the ESC power wires. I keep meaning to do this to mine, should look a lot cleaner.

If you're new to soldering, try soldering spare speaker wire/copper electrical wire to each other to get the hang of it. And youtube videos, lots of good tricks and tips in there.
