Ta05 v2 cs pullys

Postby jonesy3194 » Wed Mar 27, 2013 4:50 pm

Hi all,

Ive been reading about getting into cs drifting, ive seen somewhere that without doing any major modifications to my ta05 v2 i can get a cs ratio of approx 1.83 just by changing pullys and keeping the same belts or using a combination of v1 and v2 belts. Now my question is, does anyone know what pullys and or belts i need as i have absolutely no idea? If anyone could help me out id really appreciate it

Thanks,
Mat

You can get a 16t center pulley for the ta05 as well as a 22t center pulley for the sakura zero then get a 39 or 40t front and get a 32t ta04 pulley. That should be in the ballpark of what you want to achieve.

Will that allow me to use my stock belts?

40 - 16 front and a 22 ( or 23 ) - 30 ( or 32 ) will let you use stock belts.

Do you have a front one-way? Also those pulleys are for the grt style chassis, it has a different lay-shaft than the ta05 v2 if I'm not mistaken.

I dont have anything aftermarket on it at the moment. I broke the rear diff to dogbone coupling the other night and decided to change it over to a cs setup. This would be my first cs setup. Would anyone be able to link me to the parts that i need to be able to do this?

Thanks in advance,
Mat

16t Pulley http://www.ebay.com/sch/sis.html;jsessionid=C48D2D5CB4F326AD22CF21C92AF432E2?_nkw=Tamiya%2051213%20RC%20TA05%20Center%20Pulley%2016T&_itemId=230853366898

22t pulley http://www.ebay.com/itm/3Racing-Plastic-Center-Pulley-Set-22T-For-Sakura-Zero-1-10-RC-Touring-Car-Parts-/140844901234?pt=US_Radio_Control_Control_Line&hash=item20cb02a372

The other parts that I would suggest getting from broadtech/eagle racing Get a spool rear diff and you can get the one-way from them as well. Then just get the pulleys that you would need the 40t/39t for a one-way if you choose to go that route, also get the 30t/32t for the rear spool. You will notice when looking at the different diff pulleys the center hole is a different size for a one-way or a spool. Hope that helps.

Yes it is. that'd be the one you want. I'm running the same one and have had no problems with it yet, 2 years and counting.

So all the parts have finally arrived and whilst putting it together today, the rear belt is pretty loose this is with the diff adjustment maxed out. Im in need of a new rear belt, and not sure what size to get, from having a quick search the stock belts are 114T and according to square a 20:30 setup needs a 113T belt. Since im running 22:30 does that mean I need either a 112T or 111T belt? ifso does anyone have a link to the belt that I need?

Thanks

Here is where I get my custom belts from, they are not too pricey either. http://www.beltsforanything.com/site71.php Give them a call or shoot them an email. Phyllis is very nice, she even sent us mints last year with our order.

I don't know if tamiya or sakura has that belt size but these are only around 4-5 bucks per belt so its probably the same price if not cheaper to get them in the size you need.
