My first CS setup...

Postby Steeze_McQueen » Thu Mar 27, 2014 12:09 pm

Hey everyone! I just recently got into rc drifting, but moved past 50:50 pretty quickly with my little HPI Micro RS4. I found a Tamiya converted M-Chassis with 2.0CS. Have a tx/rx, so I really just need any suggestions on a good servo for CS to have a fully functioning whip. Waiting to receive the chassis to see if it already has a certain plug before I start shopping batts. I'll worry about a body sometime down the road when I'm ready to put the time and effort into making/painting a realistic S13 or something along those lines. I am not looking for top-of-the-line, just yet, as I don't have that top-of-the-line chassis to fit it into, but something that can handle a couple months of CS would be awesome!

I use Airtronics servos rated at .07/60 degrees with plenty of torque. I don't the have the model numbers on me but the faster the better for response time and adjustments during drifts. I got them off eBay for around $35 used a few years ago and are still going strong. Futaba has some high torque servos with metal gears and bearings for around $110.

Appreciate it, I'll keep an eye out for one of those Airtronics.
