mmh i have a question..

I use the three belt version.

i Have problems with the front ratio.
I think thats not the correct value..or my brain thinks wrong...^^ its possible, too ;)

So...29/18 mußt be 2.17 why does the Value get bigger if i change the "middle" numbers....is that right?

Sorry...if thats a stupid question :D

Changing the middle pulleys is like changing the front set of pulleys. The front ratio is combining the front ratio and middle ratio. If you set the middle pulleys to the same values the front ratio will be 2.17, but since you're under gearing the front with the middle pulleys your front ratio gets higher. Is that your setup on your R31?

Ah ok. But the middle Ratio has nothing to do with the rear ratio!? and why not...

It's kinda either or. I multiplied middle ratio to the front ratio. You can also not multiply the front ratio/middle ratio, but divide the rear ratio from the middle ratio and still get the same numbers. Your rear ratio would be smaller, like how the front ratio got bigger in the calculator :lol:

It´s confusing with three belts and I discussed that quite long with CuBe yesterday, not being able to figure out what´s wrong with the calculation. - But I believe I got it ^^ ...

CS FDR is the Final Drive Ratio for cs. This is to Help you find a Spur and Pinion combo so you don't fry your motor/ESC. For reg drifting/touring each car has a set internal (ie. Yok MR4-TC SD is 2.35 internal ratio, and the HB Cyclone S is 2.43). With CS each chassis now has a different internal ratio depending on how much you change up your internal gears (CS Ratio). The Calculator just plugs everything in so you don't have to :lol:

hi guys. i have a question....
if i use 40/13 front and 15/27 rear
or 40/16 front and 15/22 rear
i'll have 1.7 of ratio on bolth....
have any diference if i use one or another?

I wanna know something quite crucial over here, do we calculate the ratio with cs difference ratio or just the rear ratio? I got a lot of words that I just had to calculate with the rear ratio

i am a bit confused as i have geared my motor way down. i usually like to have my electronics running as cool as possible (old habit)

im running a novak sport. it says to run a 15-20 tooth pinion.

what i have
12t pinion, 90t spur
gear ratio: 7.5
front fdr: 17.6
rear fdr: 8.82
cs fdr: 15

motor gets warm but doesnt get hot. im fine with that. but i'd like to be cooler.
esc is cold and stays cold. it does have a fan just as insurance

question, could i be over revving the motor and thats what makes it warm? i'd like my motor as cool as possible.

several hours. lol. i know it seems silly to want to run the motor cooler (you can still touch it and it wont burn ya at all. its just really warm. almost hot) but its just what im aiming for

On one pack? With my Zippy 4000mah batteries i can run for 30-40 min and the motor is warm. 8.5T motor and 2.0 ratio w a 8.5ish CS FDR :D

Yok DP at 2.0 ratio (I switch from 1.7 - 2.0 and stick w the same spur/pinion)

I'm not sure if i should create a separate topic for this, but i wrote a CS Calculator iOS app. ;)
