Sorry for the delay guys. I'm really bummed out about this little project.

rest assured that i am in talks with 2 machinists who work exclusively with CF, and hope to hear some positive news from either very soon. Thanks

Yes! My first prototype CF tester wi arrive next week sometime. Once I check figment and such, we will start making them to order. We have enough material for about 7-8 of them.

This is the proto tester. We will add more material around the bellcrank hole to allow use of the top hat bushing on e we go into a final production pieceS

EVERYONE WHO IS INTERESTED, sorry for the delay. Please PM me agai if you are interested as I need a count for our production run. I'm looking at $25 USD shipped in the USA. I think it is about $12-15 USE extra for it to reach Europe.

The DRB knuckle need no modding to allow for 45* of steering, and with the geometry provided with the bridge I am making, the steering angles are parallel between both wheels. Hot bodies shafts do not provide enough steering angle and will prevent max angle.

Sorry for all the delays guys! I finally founda guy who can cut them, and then his mill went out of commision for a frew weeks. he is backed up on work, and once he catches up, we will have a bunch of these made.

I have decided to eliminate the additional material which i havd intended for use with a bushing for the bellcranks as it increased machine time to much for such a small gain. On the plus side, the CF we will be using looks nealy FACTORY as the weave pattern looks identical to the CF that HB/HPI used to make the chassis.

I have a "near production ready" version in my car, but have not been able to run it yet. That said, the geometery is correct, the fitment is correct, and it is BEEFY. No more flex issues as this is made form 1/8" thick CF.

once my machinist catches up on his back log of work, we hope to start having these made sometime in April. i will PM all interested my PayPal information once they are ready to ship.

Here are some teaser pics of the "near production ready" piece installed in my car. i did not take steering angle pics as the geometry is the same as the aluminum version that i have already posted.

Again, if you haven't PM'd me already about this item, please do. Thanks for your patience.

Here's a pic to show that they have been made. We actually have 8 available. My machinist is sending them my way on Monday, April 16.

I've sent PM's to those who showed interest earlier. Please reply if you indeed want one. Thanks

I got them in and have finished CA'ing the edges. Payment info will be PM'd to those who wanted one. Please note, a few of them have some small cosmetic blemishes that will not affect performance. Also, these mount above the bell cranks. I used 3mm buttonhead screws with washers sandwiching the CF rack. Snug enough to minimize vertical slop, but loose enough for free movement.

The problem with the Yoke you are running is the length of the steering block arm. The Suzuki bellcranks you use have sufficient sweep fo high angles, you just need to move the ball stud closer to the kingpin.

the reason for this rack was because the TC-FD uses a very narrow rack to provide small steering angle so the car is stable and easy to dfrive when runnig in a TC setup. Even with DRB knuckles it did not provide enough sweep for good CS steering angles.

I just received the steering bridge. This thing is perfect, looks like the exact carbon fiber used in the kit , except beefier. Excellent work!

Thanks for the kind words. We tried hard to develop a solid product. Please post up pics & feedback once you get some runtime on it.

A few racks are still available. I leave for vacation on May 2, so if anyone wants on, let me know ASAP

I installed the steering knuckle today and noticed even with my tensioner at its highest, the belt still rubs, with wheels straightened, it binds up pretty bad, any recommendations to solve this, or am I just going to have to dremel this?

There is not need to dremel the rack. I run a 40t front pulley and it just clears. Try rotating the diff carriers so that the diff is in one of the 3 upper positions. I think I run mine in the12 o'clock position. My belt is slightly loose with the diff carrier in the 12 o'clock & the belt tensioner all the way up, but it has never skipped.

Image

During initial assembly, the manual tells you to have the notch in the diff carrier face the rear which positions the diff mid level, and furthest forward. You will need to position the diff carrier notch so that it is facing down, which will raise the diff assembly up. This should provide you with sufficient belt clearance.
