Nice Build! I was in the same boat with you about the tt-01. You can sink all the funds into it, and by the time your done, its still a tt-01 but an awesome one.

Hehe in my and mine friends opinion it's more like Tb Evo than tt now xD Here is some video in action:

Sry for bad quality but i'ts only phone attached to body xD And because of balance it's not so good drifting xD
But you can see TT can counter steer too XD

Hey nice setup. I'm currently awaiting the arrival of the eagle drift chassis for tt01 and I ws wondering if you couldprovide feedback on your personal experience with the mod. I also have the active hobby 1.44 rear overdrive kit along with a number of mods. A few quick questions: 1) how'd you do the akkerman steering mod on the eagle racing chassis? (2 what camber set up are you running? 3) Does the eagle racing chassis improve the handling characteristics of the tt01d?I ask this last question because its difficult to maintain nice drift angles with the active hobby overdrive. Finally what did you do to achieve 1.98 overdrive?

There is no ackerman mod ;D steeering setup is from this set :) nothing added :) actualy i have camber 8* and 8* caster :) but ill increase it beacause of mine new angle:

Graphite tt-01 is more like tb-evo than normal tt-01 :) its not a drifting "brick" but now its real drifting chassis :D
And cs is Front 39/11 and active cs 36/20. 11t is from Carson Stormracer:

I am looking forward to getting the Eagle Racing tt-01 drift chassis. Nice steering angle! Do you get wheel chatter with that much angle?

OK, First i wanna THANK YOU AGAIN for posting your awsome build for others to see |O| . i recently recieved the eagle drift chassis and am almost done assembling. im proud to be part of the "tt01/eagle hybrid drift crew" and can hardly wait to test run. All thats left to do is add electronics and servo. Assembly is straight forward if your experienced with tt01 chassis although instructions were not very clear(all japanese) . I do however have a few concerns and wanted to get your feedback on a few issues im having |:-| . maybe you had similar issues qwith your build and have found ways to correct them.

1st) the eagle chassis looks awsome but the exposed pinion/spur gear worries me. Although running indoors would probably be best for longevity/integrity of gear life, its not likely as i live in a small appartment. ther question i have is, have yoiu experienced any issues with the exposed gear and what size spur/ pinion are you running. I have a 55t pinion and 24-25t spur, i think

2nd) being that the chassis is graphite, did you prep the edges by sanding and aplying CA glue? Any special techniques?

3rd) I have a 3racing front one way installed in the front gear box and ive installed a plastic shim in front of each of the bearings on the oneway but there seems to be some play between the gearbox holes and bearings. did you experience this issue and how did you install the shims to reduce play and get a tight seal.

4th) The drivetrain seems to be very stiff compared to a lightly modded tt01 chassis drivetrain. i think this may be due to the front one way bearing issue stated or the gear box is not a good fit( not sure though) :wtf: . i added a little lube to the front and rear diff bearings but the drivetrain still tight. did you experience this and if so any advice?

5th) SORRY, ill make this my last question even though ive got a few more. I got 3racing front/rear camber/caster adjustable arm kits installed INSTEAD of the tt01D arms. The max camber angle is no where near even the tt01Dmax so im curious as to how you achieved 8 deg negative camber *-| . how is your suspension set up and what aftermarket parts are you using besides eagle racing chassis parts.

Any advice or held you could give would be greatly appreciated. Im currently at work but will be home soon to (hopefully) finish the build. when im done ill be sure to pose pics for you to see if your interested. Thank you for your time.

Cheers!

ohh almost forgot, im dying to see your chassis in action but the video link not working :?

I'm glad that i can smb help with tt-01 :)

1) Hmm i'm running only indoors on the carpet, so i dont have any problems with this :) I'll make second tt-01 for outdoors but more for winter fun and 50/50 gymkhana or smth like that ;pp xD I'm using 9t Ezrun Combo, and im using 61/22 gears :) it is perfect for me :)

2)I asked more experienced friends should i use CA glue, but they said that it's actualy done from factory :)

3)With one way i have still little bit problems :) Because im using M-03 Swing shafts, even with lot's of spacers i have a bit floats. But mine 11t Gear from Stormracer is metal so if one way gears will bash il buy new one on rcmart for 2$ xD For now mine one way gear isnt in bad condition still working and thats the most important thing :)

4)Are you using CVD or standard Dog Bones? Maybe you have too close pinion and spur?

5)As you can see i'm using rear arms on the front :) Like some guy from japanesse blog :) It's great :) I Checked and mine maximum camber would be 32* xD But i think 15 is max for good driving :) I have original tamiya suspension arm set :) And 3 racing dumpers

Hmm dunno why this video not working but i have it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfvOXO8rOug as i wrote before soz for quality :)

Regards

P.S. If you have more questions just ask them ill try to answer for them :)
P.S.2 Sry for mine english :)

What modifications did you have to do to make the gears fit?

... That is by far the awesomest TT01 out there!

Hmm... for Stormracer gear none mods:D just few spacers :) and on the rear to not brush cs set 0,75mm spacers on the left side (near gear) and 0,5mm on the right side :) that's all :)

Sweet!

You should post a video from outside, not the cockpit view, that'll be cool!

so i finally got the chassis finished and had it running for about 2 minutes before the power suddenly died. I then realized that the lock pin in the pinion gear was loose ad had come out of the pinion. The problem is that the bushing that holds the pin into the pinion gear seems to have too much room/space. I already lost one pin and im trying to decide how to secure the lock pin. How did you secure the pinion lock pin on your chassis?

In the picture you can see the space between the pinion gear and the lock bushing. Did you use extra bearing or washers to secure the lock pin? super glue maybe?

so i have set up the eagle drift chassis but have trouble after a few runs. the drivetrain is binding somewhaere or is very stiff and it causes the esc to overheat. ive rebuilt the chassis 3 times already and cannot figure out what to do next. i try to copy your steering mod but the steering arm does not reach the front hub. what modification did you use to improve steering (long posts)? i have universal tt01 shaft joint and 3racing camber arms with 4 degrees negative camber and caster  Did you have to lube any part of the drivetrain to eliminate binding or use shimms to run smoothly? im running a sport tuned motor and 25t esc. the esc uverheats after 20 minutes. please any advice is appreciated. post more pics to see what you did please :D
thanks

Ohh and i also wanted to know how the new steering setup works for you? id love to see footage of it in action with the letest steering mods. ill be ordering he m03 arms soon so maybe i can post a decent video for you if the drivetrain issue gets resolved. great job so far A++

hmm maybe too close spur and pinion?? you need try some washers but you need try few options. i dont know how much your shafts etc are used maybe you have too much washers and it stiff :)
