Vaughn Gittin Jr. 2013 Mustang

Postby BMF » Wed Apr 25, 2012 3:28 pm

Hi guys,

Love the new livery on VGJr Mustang so I've decided to make one myself :D

Image

Image

I´m gonna paint the Falken stripes directly on the bodyinstead of the decals ;)

The material:

Forgot to put this in the vinyl sheet, so it has to be cutted by hand:

Done!

Its not 100% like the original since the body isn't the same. Anyway I like the final outcome:

With a few decals applyed:

I´m going to make the spoiler, don´t like the rear like this:

Almost finished, awating tires, side mirrors, whiper and spoiler:

It will look better with the 6mm offset green rims

Thank you guys :D

I probably should have done this livery on the 2011 body
Too bad it was out of stock...

Cheers,
Bruno

nah, the 2011 body has that ugly rear end that bubbles out in the middle. I think it looks horrible, especially compared to the more flat style of the previous years.

I have some issues about the 2011 front, it looks more like a Camaro :wtf:
The 2011 rear end looks better than the version i've got IMO.

Nevertheless i think the 2011 version would (in general) probably look better in this livery. ;)

Now I have 2 monsters and one samurai

Still waiting for the tires and sidemirrors, meanwhile I made the small wing:

It could be better... but it also could be worse. In the overall I think the rear looks better with it

Hi, its not masking tape. Its vinyl, this one I draw in CAD and then was cutted with a vinyl cutter - basically its a plotter ;)

Here is an example:

I use the same method usually

Stang looks cool!

Just gotta be carful of the edges, the thinner vinyl the better for curves masks.

Its awesome, yours looks great. The vinyl of the "PAN SPEED" as a great definition. Not every plotter can cut that small

Where did you get the decal sheets for the body from?
Rides: Sakura D3 full option car, 124% c/s (-3deg camber)
Schumacher Mi3 Carpet Spec (103% c/s now known as the experimental beater--rarely drive this one anymore).
