I've asked around about how to check and balance the weight distribution of your car. I tried to balance the car on the middle, but that was pretty inaccurate. I tried 4 food scales and something weird happened that I didn't expect. Adjusting the pressure loaded on the springs distributed the weight for me. I only added a little weight on the front to make the front heavier than the rear. Please let me know what you guys think about this method.

We tried this also, you want to make sure that the surface you have the scales on is flat and level. Katsumi used a big cutting board and used a level in the middle of the scales. If you have your ride height equal left and right (front Left and right & and rear left and right) then the weight should almost be the same left and right. If you have rake (one side lower or higher than another) then the lowest side would be the heaviest (front to rear)

Ok, that makes sense, I didn't take that into consideration but I will level my table that I'm using.. it's nice to know somebody else is using this method and is working for them!

Hey Stalwart. I kinda did this wit small plastic scraps. I balanced everything on the intersection of the point of all 4 contacts with the road (The tires). It was really tricky. Also, knowing that the weight distribution changes when the shocks come into play, doesn't that make the balance of the car off anyway?
I think
1. check weight balance by balancing the car on a tool like the one here
2. then check the ride height
3. then adjust droop
4. then balance on the scales with the coil tensioners ONLY BY TIGHTENING THEM (because releasing tension will only take the pressure off the springs and onto the droop) screws.

I was winning local races with one side being 80g heavier than other due to short lipo. Unless you're struggling with uneven handling, few grams side-to-side don't matter. Front-to-back does not even have to be 50:50. Also, consider putting weights on rear lower suspension arms to increase unsprung weight.
