Hi All,
New to drifting and have a ta06 setup as 5050 atm. I really want to convert to cs but having troubles understanding it (even calculators etc). Does anyone have any suggestions on what pulleys etc I will need for the ta06. I was thinking something from 1.5 ratio or higher.
I am new so go easy on me.
Thanks heaps,
shags

I've never had complete TA06, but my experience with TA05-VDF and TA06 rear gearbox (which i have in front of me right now), suggests you can get 25% CS in 5$ if you swap middle belt pulleys for 16T rear and 20T front.
16T is genuine Tamiya part from TA05 - http://www.rcmart.com/tamiya-51213-ta05 ... 95_744_720
20T is made by 3Racing - http://www.rcmart.com/3racing-center-pu ... 32891.html (sadly, out of stock everywhere)
You could also get 31% or 37% if you fit 21T or 22T, also made by 3Racing, in front, but i believe it will require a tooth or two longer middle belt.
Further CS bumps will require smaller pulley and shorter belt for front transmission. Aluminum pulleys are made with as low as 12T, which, combined with 22/16 on middle belt, would get you over 106% CS.
For rear gearbox, sadly, there are no alternative gearing options.

You can also find aliuminium pulleys in broadtech.com:
16t: http://www.broadtech.hk/eagleshop/shop/ ... 860P18-16T
20t: http://www.broadtech.hk/eagleshop/shop/ ... 860P18-20T
21t: http://www.broadtech.hk/eagleshop/shop/ ... 860P18-21T
22t: http://www.broadtech.hk/eagleshop/shop/ ... 860P18-22T
I think the price is just perfect for budget projects, also in this shop you can buy CS kit for VDF, but I don't now if it will fit on your TA06.
